Further evidence to revise the map marker for the Four-toed Statue
The most compelling evidence to change the location is simply this: in all the scenes where the statue appears, we see nothing but open ocean when looking out to sea. If the statue faced in a northwesterly direction, we should be able to see more of The Island’s coast, as well as the small atoll islands.
There is a small bit of land that juts out on the west coast, very close to another tiny island. This seems to me to be the ideal location for the statue, however it can’t work since we see no island just offshore in the scenes where the statue appears.
Finally, with a little conjecture and some logic, I’m going to revise the map marker for the statue and place it about four miles south of its original position.
