The Statue of Taweret
Our heroes first encounter the four-toed foot of the statue while sailing north along The Island’s west coast. The statue faces out to sea, with a sandy beach to the north and a rockier shoreline to the south.

While Rousseau’s map indicates only one significant sandy beach on The Island’s west coast, if the statue were located at the southern tip of this beach, it would be a very short distance from the tail section crash site. It seems likely that the Tailies would have discovered it during their two-week stay on that beach, yet we know that this is not the case. It is likely that the statue is located a few miles further south, at the southern tip of a smaller beach. It faces out to sea in a westerly direction.
